Pick It Up Fitness is a gym in Northgate, Colorado Springs, at 11641 Ridgeline Drive, Suite 150, CO 80921. The landmark to look for is Mission Coffee: we are two doors down from it. Inside, we run small-group strength and conditioning classes, and we do personal training. If you want to see the place before you decide anything, we usually open with a free week these days.

Finding the suite on Ridgeline Drive

Here is the whole address: 11641 Ridgeline Drive, Suite 150, Colorado Springs, CO 80921. If you know Mission Coffee, you are close, because our suite is two doors down from it. We have ample parking in front of the building.

What strength and conditioning means on Ridgeline Drive

"Strength and conditioning" is a phrase that can mean a lot of things, so here is what we mean by it. We do two things: strength and conditioning classes, and personal training. Classes are the core of our weekly schedule. Personal training is one-on-one coaching, and you can read about it on our personal training page.

A class is coach-led and runs about 60 minutes. It has a clear order. You warm up, then you move into strength or skill work, then you finish with the workout of the day. Our calendar labels these classes "WOD," which is short for workout of the day. The strength work might be Olympic lifting, deadlifts, squats or bodyweight strength. The workout itself can be over in five minutes or run twenty minutes and more.

Every workout can be scaled, from a person who has never trained to an experienced competitor. That is the whole idea of a small-group class: several people training together, each at a level that suits them. You can see how that works on our small-group classes page.

You will hear a few words in class that sound like code. They are not hard once someone says them out loud:

We say stimulus and RPE a good amount, and EMOM and AMRAP come up too. If you hear one you do not know, ask.

The week at a glance, as of mid-October 2026

This is what our class calendar showed in the week of October 11:

Each of those is 60 minutes. Times can change, so the live class schedule is the one to trust. The first class of the day starts at 5:00am, and the last one on Monday through Thursday starts at 5:30pm. That is a wide spread of start times to pick from.

Who we picture walking through the door

Our new members are mostly 35 or older. Many of them have been to a gym like ours before and drifted away. It was not because they stopped caring. They were not competitive athletes, and competing was never what they were after.

The other person we meet often has kids or grandkids. They want to keep up with the little ones in their life, and they have decided it is time to start working out again. That is a good enough reason, and it does not need to be fancier.

We do not know a "typical Northgate member," and we are not going to invent one. What we can say is that if either of those two people sounds like you, you are who we built the classes for. If you have quit a routine before and are wondering how to start again, our post on getting out of a workout slump is a good first read.

People who have tried us leave reviews. As of early October 2026, our Google profile shows 4.9 stars from 198 reviews. Reviewers describe coaches who are welcoming, knowledgeable and supportive. Read a few, and judge for yourself whether it sounds like a room you would want to walk into.

Three questions to ask any gym before you sign up

These work for any gym in Northgate, including ours. Here is how we answer them.

Who leads the session? Ours are coach-led from the warm-up through the workout of the day. If you are comparing gyms, ask whether a coach stays with the class or whether you are on your own once it starts.

Is there a time you can keep? Our earliest class starts at 5:00am on weekdays, and our latest on Monday through Thursday starts at 5:30pm. A schedule you can keep matters more than a perfect workout you skip. Look at the times above and be honest about which one you would show up for in February.

Can you try it first? Yes. Opening with a free week is what we do most often now, and we shape it around how much training you have done. Tell us what you have done before, and what stopped you last time, and we will start from there. You can reach us through our contact page.
